Sex Guide & Health

Circumcision/Male Genital Mutilation was first practiced to reduce the pleasure of sexual intercourse and masturbation and has it's main roots in religion that seems to view pleasure as sinful.  That said there are other reasons that made the practice catch on and one was 'tribal marking' and 'becoming a man'.  The latter seems to be associated with the ability to stand the pain of the amputation and the other is the notion that the continual exposure of the inner organ (glans) is sexier and that the stimulation through everyday contact with clothes and objects becomes a continual reminder of the male sexuality thus making the male feel 'sexy'.

Whatever the origins it is indisputable that the amputation removes a vast number of highly sensitive sexual components including thousands of nerve endings and the continuous exposure of the once internal tissue; will set up a higher brain threshold for sexual sensations  coupled with progressing age it may well add to problems.

A circumcised/mutilated penis is thought by many to be cleaner and healthier as it is not so susceptible to diseases and there is an effort to get males in Africa mutilated as an HIV/AIDS prevention.  This is of course a nonsense as it will send the wrong message to the whole world and kill many more people than it saves because safe sex, the only sure way to prevent the disease spreading will be practiced less.  The more vigorous intercourse needed by less sensitive males may well put both partners at greater risk through micro abrasions.

In any case, the 'claimed' protection of male circumcision by the seriously flawed so called research in Africa would only mean that those practicing unsafe sex would catch HIV within 2 years instead of 1 year, does this make any sense to a sane person?  Studies also in Africa have also shown that women are twice as likely to be infected with AIDS when they have frequent sex with circumcised males.

In the USA where a large proportion of the male population is circumcised, the rate of HIV/AIDS is higher than the largely intact of European male.  By this you might try to claim the circumcision causes infection.

The circumcision of any child without unavoidable medical need is an abuse of human rights of the child and the adult the child will become.  It is a barbaric act of sexual abuse which degrades and shames any society that allows it.
