Tape Strip

This is the most basic of all tape methods.  It is easy and quick to apply and is often used to maintain coverage or as a starting point for restoration.

Apart from the speed and simplicity of applying the tape it has (as with X-Tape) the advantage that it is the cheapest as it only requires a roll of hypoallergenic tape.  Those wishing to experience the feel of having their glans covered for a day or two may find this and X-tape a convenient way to achieve this.

This method can also be used in a way that allows you to urinate without removing the tape completely but I have to say that some may not find it very easy.

There are two basic ways of using a single strip of tape, one that uses a strip of tape straight across the skin that you pull across the glans and the second that allows you to urinate without removing the tape.

Simple Tape Strip

Using wide tape in this method is both economic and effective, the disadvantage is that it must be removed to urinate.  Some tapes however are capable of being removed and still have enough tack to stick a second time.

Notice that in the picture above the tape is short and does not go down the sides of the shaft skin; this is significant for maximum chance of restoration tension.  By using the minimum tape which you can determine by trial and error, less of the skin is covered by tape so more skin is free to be under tension.  Skin covered by adhesive tape is in effect reinforced and protected from any significant tension so, within practical limits, the less tape the better.

An Alternative Approach

By 'killing' the adhesive in the centre of a length of tape it is possible to facilitate urination without removing the tape.  You can move the tape to one side when urinating because that section of adhesive in the centre is not stuck to the skin.  It is not easy to do first time and all factors need to be just right to allow you to do this.

The disadvantage of this method is the need to put the tape further down the shaft skin which does not tension the softer skin near the scar line.  It may however be the only way open to you if you need to urinate frequently.  You can still experiment to see how near to the end of the penis the tape can be positioned to get maximum possible skin area under tension.

In the next picture you can see some variety of shapes you can cut the tape.

The shape on the right of the picture with the dotted lines, fold the adhesive tape back on itself so that the two flaps in the centre stick adhesive to adhesive, this will provide a non stick centre portion of tape.

The next picture shows three methods of 'killing' the adhesive selectively.

Talcum Powder, using a cotton bud roll it in the talc and then roll it on the adhesive. Tape. stick the adhesive faces of the two tapes together. Fabric, put the fabric over the adhesive face of the tape.

Tips

When cutting tape into strips or shapes use a sharp scalpel blade rather than scissors.
Get a sheet of backing paper that sticky labels are supplied on.  Mark out lengths, shapes or guide lines to help you and then stick your tape on the sheet in the right places for cutting.  If the lines you make are done with a black ball point pen or HB pencil it will slightly indent the paper and leave sufficient marks for you to see through the tape and to the lines.  With practice you will be able to cut through the adhesive tape but not the backing paper so it can be used many times over.
Once you have proved the sizes and shapes etc., consider cutting enough tape to last a while, it will be quicker, easier and your skill in cutting will give better results.
The tape can remain on the non-stick backing paper until you need to 'peel and use'.
Try not to handle the sticky surface of the tape, use tweezers and not fingers where appropriate.
Stretch skin out just before applying tape to stress it, adhesion will be slightly better.
Apply pressure over the tape for a while after applying it to help it stick properly.
Tape will stick better if the skin is dry, free from grease and warm.
Try to move the tape to differing portions of skin in rotation so that one area is not taking all the stress and does not become sore from tape removal.
Cut a small tag of non-stick paper and tuck it under the end of the tape roll to preserve the cut edge of the tape and make it easy to find the end next time you need to cut tape from the roll.

The circumcision of any child without unavoidable medical need is an abuse of human rights of the child and the adult the child will become.  It is a barbaric act of sexual abuse which degrades and shames any society that allows it.
